This policy explains how BC Fire Door / Bicoastal Fire Door Compliance handles information collected through bcfiredoor.com, website inquiries, scheduling, and optional email updates.

Information you provide

When you request a quote or ask an inspector a question, we receive the contact and project information you choose to submit. This can include your name, email address, phone number, facility name and location, approximate door count, preferred timing, and question or project details. Required fields are marked on each form; other fields may be left blank.

We use this information to respond, discuss your needs, prepare estimates, coordinate requested services, and maintain related business records. Please do not submit patient information, medical records, payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive personal information through our website forms.

Monthly emails and the free checklist

Our monthly email signup is optional. You can download the free safety checklist without joining the mailing list. If you choose to subscribe, your email address and signup information are processed through Mailchimp to manage the subscription and send our updates. Email services may record delivery, opens, and link clicks. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or contact us at om@bcfiredoor.com.

Submitting a question or quote request is not, by itself, permission to join our monthly email list. Read the Intuit / Mailchimp privacy statement for information about that provider’s practices.

Scheduling and embedded content

Meeting scheduling uses Calendly. Information you enter there is handled by Calendly and shared with us to arrange the meeting. See Calendly’s privacy notice.

Some pages include third-party content, such as YouTube videos. Those services may receive information about your device or visit and use cookies when their content loads or you interact with it. Their own privacy policies apply.

Website analytics, advertising, and cookies

We use website measurement tools, including Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement, Microsoft Clarity, and WordPress analytics and heatmap tools, to understand visits, improve usability, and assess marketing performance. Depending on the tool and your settings, information may include pages visited, referral source, device and browser details, approximate location, IP address, identifiers, clicks, scrolling, and form or scheduling events.

Microsoft Clarity can provide heatmaps and session recordings of website interactions. Microsoft may collect or receive personal data to provide its analytics and advertising services. See the Microsoft privacy statement. Google services, including analytics, advertising measurement, reCAPTCHA spam protection, and YouTube, are described in the Google privacy policy.

Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can manage cookies through your browser and review the privacy controls offered by the relevant providers. Blocking cookies or third-party services may affect forms, videos, or scheduling. This policy describes data practices; it does not replace any consent controls required for a particular visitor or jurisdiction.

Sharing information

We do not sell customer contact lists. Information may be handled by providers that support our website, hosting, email delivery, subscription management, scheduling, security, analytics, and advertising measurement, as described above. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with legal obligations or protect our business and users. We do not claim that third-party analytics or advertising services collect no information.

How long information is kept

We do not currently have one fixed retention period for website inquiries. Inquiries may remain in our email or website records, with retention depending on follow-up, ongoing projects, business recordkeeping, and applicable legal obligations. Service providers have their own retention practices. You can contact us to request deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal, security, accounting, or active service reasons.

Your questions and choices

To ask about information you submitted, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email om@bcfiredoor.com or call (904) 532-4228. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Any rights and exceptions under applicable law remain in effect.

Security and policy updates

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use the contact details above if you have a concern about information sent to us. We may revise this policy as our website or business practices change; the date at the top identifies the latest revision.
